Survey in progress part of a Noise surveys and assessments from Aegis with advice on Noise Assessment, Vibration Controls, Noise Regulations, Noise Controls, Impaired Hearing, Ear Damage, Hearing Loss, and Ear Defenders.Noise Surveys

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 which came into effect on the 6th April 2006 has made the first and second action levels lower by 5 dB(A) which although does not sound a lot is actually fifteen levels of noise.

Employers used to have a duty of care to reduce the level of noise in their workplace to a reasonably practicable level but now they must 'eliminate at source or reduce to a minimum' and provide hearing protection zones where technically feasible and where the risk of exposure to noise so justifies and similarly health surveillance now needs to be considered where it was not specified in the old 1989 regulations.

Therefore for an employer to comply they need to know the risks of noise exposure in their respective workplaces in order that they can make any necessary adjustments to their health and safety policies and procedures.

AEGIS Associates surveyors have been trained to the British Occupational Hygiene Society's M104 module on Noise and Vibration and are Certificated Competent Persons (CCP's) to assist in completing fully compliant noise surveys.

Reducing arm vibration to a minimumThe Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 which came into effect on 6th July 2005 place similar duties on employers as the noise regulations in as much as they must either eliminate it a source or reduce workers exposure to it.

Likewise for an employer to comply they need to know the risks of exposure to vibration in their respective workplaces in order that they can make any necessary adjustments to their health and safety policies and procedures.

Again AEGIS Associates surveyors have been trained to the British Occupational Hygiene Society's M104 module on Noise and Vibration and are fully qualified to assist in completing fully compliant vibration assessments.
